You made it a Ride and Food success!

You contributed once again to the continued development of a community in need and we are so grateful!
Threefold's staff and volunteers participated, for the fourth time, in the Canada-wide Ride for Refuge, which brings together approved organizations whose commitment and work transforms peoples’ lives.  These organizations work to raise awareness and funds for a variety of great causes focussed on calling attention to those whose lives have been negatively impacted by hatred, greed, or disaster.  COVID meant that large bike-riding and walking events were out of the question this year, but we forged ahead this year in a different way.
Riders in Parry Sound, Brantford and Oshawa rode either 10 or 50 km routes.
Home cooks whipped up some Nicaraguan meals for their families, the riders and others.
Most impressively, and thanks in great part to a special sponsor, the women and some of the older children from our Best Start in Christ programs prepared "North American" meals.  The women were able to showcase the skills that they have learned in recent cooking classes by serving 200 people - their family, friends and neighbours - from the local community.  It was a special treat for all, many of whom could never afford, nor have the cooking facilities, to feed their families those options normally.
Funds raised will provide for additional skill-building (and potential employment) opportunities for local women.  They will also support the continuation of the general and Christian-based education of young children, and the ongoing work in the on-site medical clinic for those with chronic conditions.
This is only possible because you make it so.
    THANK YOU!
