Martha is from the nearby town of Jinotepe and is a wife and mother of two children. She started working as a teacher with the Best Start program in 2012, moving to a full-time position as the Program Administrator in 2013. She continues to serve as a teacher for all of our children's programming, and also coordinates prenatal health and infant care classes. On top of these duties, Martha also contributes to the development of curriculum for the programs. Martha has a gentle, sincere nature that engenders the trust of both the mothers and children.
Rachel is well-acquainted with the Skylark Centre and the many programs, having assisted in the past with medical and other short-term mission teams. Rachel officially joined the staff team in 2021 as a Best Start teacher. The parents and children made a connection with Rachel right away due to her infectious playful, energetic and jovial nature.
