About Us

History and Background

Established in 2006, Threefold Ministry’s main purposes are to advance the Christian faith through word and action and to support and maintain missions and missionaries.

Threefold Ministries was established as a ‘not for profit’ organization under the Ontario Business Corporations Act and was granted Canadian charitable status under registration BN# 80524 6741 RR0001 in March 2006. Threefold Ministries was then registered as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with the Nicaraguan Government in April 2006.

Construction of The Skylark Retreat Centre, Threefold's longest-running and best-known project, began in 2006 with the grand opening taking place in November of 2007.  Since its inception, The Skylark Centre has welcomed thousands of visitors and missionaries, and those whom they serve, through the gates.

The Best Start in Christ programming began at the Skylark Centre in 2008 to support mothers and mothers-to-be (many still in their teens) and their young children in the local community through the pre-natal to pre-school stages. Programming has only expanded since that time!

In 2013, Threefold Ministries partnership program, Change A Life, was granted charitable status in the United States under Federal Identification Number 46-3061588.

We love our Canadian home-base and the exceptionally generous support that we receive ongoing from across the local region(s), and throughout North America.

Threefold’s philosophy of ministry has always had as its goal sustainability, believing that it is essential that if you are going to help people in a meaningful way you must commit to them  for the ‘long haul’.  Read more about how this is happening.
